栀子黄色素是以茜草科植物栀子果为原料，采用物理方法提取精制而成。

 Features: Gardenia yellow was pale yellow to dark red powder or liquid, aqueous solution for clear and transparent golden yellow, bright color under alkaline condition. Soluble in water, dilute ethanol, not soluble in fat.

The gardenia yellow pigment's principal constituent is the renieratene crocin and the crocetin. PH value is almost no effect on their color tone , in PH=4 ~ 11 range than Β-carotene stability, aluminum, calcium, lead, tin, copper, zinc and other metal ions stable, but to run into iron will be black. Its protein and starch staining power is relatively strong. Applications: Suitable for candy, cakes, wine, drinks, fruit juice stain, can be used for silk, cotton dyeing.
