PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION    1. Pharmacodynamics: Colistin sulfate are alkaline peptide antibiotics. It could works strongly to gram-negative bacterium eg. E.coli, salmonella, pasteurella, Shigella dysenteriae, brucella, vibrio, pseudomonas aeruginosa etc, especially for pseudomonas aeruginosa and vibrio. It kills the cell due to reduce surface tension and increase permeability by combining with cell membrane lipoprotein free phosphate. It’s no use for gram-positive bacterium (except staphylococcus aureus and hemolytic streptococcus) and fungus. As feed additive, it could prompt the livestock and fowl grow up. The products combined with zinc bacitracin (1:5) making synergistic effect. It combined with sulphonamide and TMP making synergistic effect to E.coli, pneumobacillus and pseudomonas aeruginosa.

                                                   2. Pharmacokinetics: It’s not easy to cause drug residue and drug-fast when taking orally, most of medicine be defecated.
