The performance and application of  TMB:

   3,3',5,5'-Tetramethylbenzidine(TMB) is a new-type safe color primary reagent.Compared with some traditional color primary reagents such as benzidine, o-tolidine and o-diaminobenzene,the merits of TMB are high sensitive detection and excellent stability. And as a result of zoopery and Ames which is to experiment self-acting variability of bacteria,showing that TMB is a kind of non-cancerogen and non-mutagen ,and can be used safely. Currently,TMB is taking the place of benzidine which is a strong cancerogen and other ramifications of benzidine which are  carcinogenic step by step.TMB can be applied in areas like clinical assay, forensic analysis, criminal investigation and environmental detection,etc.As a new zymolyte of peroxidase,TMB has wide applications in enzyme immunoassay (EIA) and enzyme-linked-immunosorbent serologic assay (ELISA).
