Labelled Arachidonic Acid. An essential fatty acid and a precursor in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, thromboxanes, and leukotrienes. Occurs in liver, brain, glandular organs, and depot fats of animals, in small amounts in human depot fats, and is a constituent of animal phosphatides.
